VIB Sale, Fall Sale, BI Sale, call it what you want, the annual November sale at Sephora always sends the beauty community into a shopping frenzy and this year I was not spared by the buying fever! I had just made Rouge, the upper level of Sephora's rewards program, a few weeks before the sale so I enjoyed 2 weekends of intense shopping with a 20% off discount. I did a video unboxing of the loot from my 1st weekend of shopping on Instagram, but I wanted to have everything from round 2 as well before doing this haul post.

I told you in my shopping tips that I often re-purchase my staples during the sale, but this time I focused on new-to-me brands and formulas. What better time to try something new than a good sale? I also picked up a few sets that I want to put in Holiday giveaways on Instagram and here on the blog: stay tuned, I'll have them start in the next few weeks! In the meantime, here's everything I got:




- YSL Rouge Pur Couture Dazzling Lights Edition in Prune Avenue: this is YSL's classic creamy lipstick formula in the special holiday packaging. I was on the market for a plum lipstick and this is the one I ended up picking!

- Dior Diorific Rouge Khol in Intense Garnet: I was planning to get more items from Dior's holiday collection but they sold out so quickly this year! I did manage to get one of these intriguing matte pointy lipsticks, and I'll let you know all about it in a French Friday post soon.

- Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette in Smokey: these small palettes were causing a lot of buzz, and I had never tried anything from Huda. I was curious about her eyeshadow formula so I picked one - for only $27 it wouldn't much of a loss if I didn't like it! Turns out I really enjoy it and I've already reviewed it for you.

- Huda Beauty Contour & Strobe Lip Set in Trendsetter/Snobby: okay so I mostly got this for the packaging. But it also looked like a good way to get a new lip liner and try both a liquid matte and a lip topper formula for a good price. I'm not sure I picked the best color combo for me: I almost picked Showstopper but I was concerned it would be too pale. Turns out Trendsetter is quite deep a nude for my skin tone.

Huda Beauty purchases

- Lancôme Glow For It Highlighter Palette in Rose Twinkle: Lancôme's been releasing highlighters more often than I've been getting a manicure in the past year! I've had a great experience with most of them (the exception being the most recent Dual Finish pressed powder, see my review), so I decided to purchase this palette to give it a try. Of note, Sephora only has the trio in this neutral combination at this time, but Ulta already has the more colorful palettes, one with a ruby shade and one with a purple (could be fantastic for deeper skin tones).

- Make Up For Ever Lustrous Shadow Palette: this is the holiday eyeshadow palette for 2017. I had never tried MUFE eyeshadows (I know, shocking!), and I liked the colors so I figured it would be a good opportunity to test it. I also swatched the mattes in a store before the sale and found them very soft and pigmented. Review will be coming soon!

MUFE and Lancôme palettes

- Nars X Man Ray Love Triangle: these little triangles contain a mini blush and a mini lipstick and I got two of them! One is the cult Orgasm duo for a giveaway, and the other is Deep Throat blush + Barbara lipstick for me.




- Lancôme Mistletoe Ornament: contains a mini Monsieur Big mascara (my review) and full-size Matte Shaker (my review) in a happy pink shade. Both are products that I love and I'll put this set in a giveaway!

- Rouge Dior Mini Lipstick Set: this one is already sold out, but one of you will win it in an upcoming giveaway on the blog! The Rouge Dior formula is fantastic, and you'll get to try 5 shades.

- Atelier Cologne Advent Calendar: sorry that I forgot to include it in my haul photo shoot! I'll do a video everyday when I open each door in my Instagram stories so you'll see lots of it in December. I've told you before that I love Atelier Cologne's fresh and citrusy scents, so I decided to try more! I'm also a big fan of advent calendars so I couldn't pass on this one. I'm not the only one apparently since it's now sold out!
