The beginning of a new year is a good time to look back and reflect on what we did in the past 12 months. Today I want to share with you the top 5 most read posts published in 2015 on Beaumiroir. A few interesting things to note: they're all about makeup, 4 of them are reviews, and 3 of them are about French brands.

So, should I conclude that you want to see more reviews of makeup by French brands on the blog? I've tried to vary my posts a little more in the past year, with more skincare and other types of posts besides reviews, but now I'm wondering if that's really what YOU want. Let me know in the comments!

2015 was also the year when I started investing a lot more time on the blog, revamped my visual theme, worked hard to improve my photo skills, and got a .com domain name. I feel like the blog has grown a lot this year, and I'm currently thinking of setting goals for 2016 to help me continue improving. I'd love to hear your opinion and advice! But first, let's discover your favorite posts of 2015!

bareMinerals BB Cream Eyeshadow in Candlelit Peach: the perfect lid brightener

Seeing that the most viewed post of 2015 is about a no-frills, no-makeup makeup product makes me joyful! Yay, I'm not the only one who's interested in easy, foolproof makeup! Since I published this post I've bought 2 more shades of the bareMinerals BB Cream Eyeshadow, Soft Linen and Elegant Taupe. I still absolutely love them, but with time I noticed that the formula tends to dry and gets thicker relatively fast, in a matter of a few months. So don't buy all the shades hoping to keep them for years, once open you should use them up within 6 months top if you want the best performance!

Smashbox L.A. Lights in Silver Lake Sunset: the Golden Hour in a stick

Another favorite of mine this year, glad that you liked the post too! I haven't used it quite as much as I thought I would throughout the summer, not that I had any problem with it, but my makeup attention span is very short and I got distracted by newer blushes... I totally recommend these sticks for easy-to-use highlighters!

#FrenchFriday : a look at Lancôme's Fall 2015 makeup launches

This is the one non-review that was the most read this year, and I can see why! Seriously, how beautiful was Lancôme's fall launch this year! A beautiful color collection, a ton of new products, it was a very exciting time for a Lancôme lover like me.

#4

Lancôme Shine Lover Vibrant Shine Lipstick in French Sourire: a long wearing pop of color

Another post about Lancôme in the top 5! As you may know the Shine Lover Lipstick is also one of my favorite new products of 2015, and it made my top 5 new French Beauty products of 2015. Besides this first review of shade French Sourire, I later posted a review of Corail Lover.

Diorskin Nude Air Serum Foundation: is it worth it?

One more of the very best new makeup launches by French beauty brands, the Nude Air Serum foundation by Dior is something everyone should at least try. Many brands have since copied it, including the Sephora brand, so you might find a more affordable alternative nowadays.
