Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a blast for New Year's Eve, and I wish you a year full of happiness, good surprises and success.

On this first day and #FrenchFriday of 2016 (geez... I was born in the 70's guys!) I want to share my top 5 new French products of 2015 with you. I haven't tested all the new makeup and beauty launches this year of course (I wish...) so this list is totally subjective: do let me know which products should make the top 5 in your opinion, whether they're from French brands or not!

In 2015 we've seen 4 main trends dominate in the makeup world: weightless liquid foundations, contouring, bold brows and matte lips. You'll see that some of my picks were directly related to these trends. Without further ado, let's take a look at the Beaumiroir Best Of 2015 French Beauty Winners!

Dior Diorskin Nude Air Ultra-Fluid Serum Foundation

I kind of have a love/hate relationship with Dior foundations: I've loved a few and absolutely hated just as many. I'm always excited to try their new launches though, so I tried the Nude Air Serum as soon as I could... and my mind was blown. It's completely weightless and makes my skin look beautiful from the inside. Hands down the best light-to-medium coverage foundation I've ever tried, you can read my review for all the details.

Lancôme Shine Lover Vibrant Shine Lipstick

Another innovation that takes a classic product to a new level of weightlessness! I adored this new lipstick launched last Spring by what has recently become my favorite French brand for makeup. The unique slim white tube, the vibrant yet translucent colors, the hydrating feel of this gel formula, the incredible staying power, everything truly impressed me. I posted about 2 shades, take a look for swatches and in depth reviews: French Sourire (of course...) and Corail Lover.

YSL Glossy Stain Pop Water

This was go-to gloss all summer long! Launched with the Summer 2015 collection, the Pop Water is a new variation of the cult Glossy Stain, and a much better one if you ask me! It's clearly less pigmented, but it's very hydrating, and the glossiness lasts for hours. It's so much more comfortable to wear than the original Glossy Stain, and who doesn't want a gloss that remains shiny through a light meal? You can read my full review of this gloss in shade Eau de Corail for details.

Guerlain Météorites Perle des Neiges

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the Holiday 2015 Limited Edition Météorites by Guerlain: they were too pricey for my budget, and when Santa and his elves started shopping, they were long sold out. They were, however, the most beautiful Météorites ever made, with a drop-dead gorgeous frosty snow globe-like box with golden snowflakes. From what I've heard the powder pearls (some where actually star-shaped this time!) also imparted a beautiful, soft glow to the skin. This is without a doubt the most stunning Holiday makeup item I've seen in a long, long time - maybe ever. Thanks Guerlain for this whimsical Holiday magic!

Lancome Matte To Measure Collection

I know, you're going to say that I'm cheating, this is not a product, but a whole collection! Let me explain: amid the matte lipstick frenzy, Lancôme launched this collection of 4 lippies, 2 brand new formulas and 2 repromotes. There's something for everyone, with a liquid matte lipstick, L'Absolu Rouge Velours, a luxurious lipstick, L'Absolu Rouge Définition, an easy-going crayon, Color Design Matte Lip Crayon (read my review for this one), and new matte shades for the Color Design Lipstick.
I really liked the Lip Crayon, and I found the Rouge Définition absolutely stunning when I swatched all the shades. Overall I think that this is a fantastic collection, with outstanding new products, and it's the makeup launch that got me the most excited this year! You can see pics of all those lippies with some swatches in this post, towards the bottom.

Do you recognize any of your favorites in this winners list? What were your most loved new products in 2015?
