Review, photos, swatches of the new OZ Naturals Ultra Ageless Eye Crème, an anti-aging eye cream.

I've reviewed a few products from OZ Naturals before, a cruelty-free, made in the USA cosmetics company sold on Amazon. I tested 2 of their eye gels, and while I appreciated their toning and firming effect, they didn't bring as much moisture as a richer texture and left my under-eye area craving more hydration. Finally OZ Naturals has introduced an anti-aging eye cream in their skincare line, the Ultra Ageless Eye Crème (have you noticed how using the French word crème instead of cream has become popular these days?).

As usual with OZ Naturals, the eye cream is loaded with anti-aging ingredients: a peptide complex (Matrixyl Synthe'6), vitamin E, astaxanthin (a powerful antioxidant), algae and carrot extracts. There's also coffee seed and guarana extract to reduce puffiness and dark circles.

Here's the full list of ingredients: Water (Aqua), Glyceryl Stearate SE, Cetearyl Olivate, Glycerin, Sorbitan Olivate, Stearyl Alcohol, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-38, Caffeine, Haematococcus Pluvialis Extract, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Extract, Paullinia Cupana Seed Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Saccharina Longicruris Extract, Tocopherol, Lecithin, Urea, Maltodextrin, Xanthan Gum, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin, Sucrose Stearate, Polyglyceryl- 10-Laurate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Sorbic Acid.

Let's see what I liked and didn't like about the Ultra Ageless Eye Crème!

I Liked

- The impressive list of beneficial ingredients, most of them extracted from plants, with anti-aging properties.
- The cream is fragrance-free and very gentle to my fragile eye area. I wear contacts and I have sensitive eyes that can react very easily if a product contains something irritant (you should see me cry a torrent when I chop onion), but I never had any discomfort with this cream.
- The nice blue tube contains a very generous amount of product: 30 ml (1 fl oz) is about double the size of your average eye cream! With the price tag around $20, that's a very affordable anti-aging option.
- The cream-gel texture is very light and doesn't feel greasy at all. It takes a minute or two to be fully absorbed by my skin, so I have a little time to massage it in (massaging VERY gently helps with puffiness/darkness).
- This lightly creamy texture definitely brings more moisture to my dry under-eye than the gels I tried from OZ Naturals before.
- It doesn't ball up under makeup or cause my concealer to pill.

I Didn't Like

- Because the opening of the tube is rather large, and not narrow and pointed like you often see with eye creams, I tend to get too much product out when I squeeze the tube.
- Despite being creamier, the texture is not so rich that it can nourish very dry skin. In the winter my under-eye area gets very dehydrated, and some days I feel like the Ultra Ageless Eye Crème is not moisturizing enough, so my concealer looks a bit cakey.

Overall

This is a solid formula and a great value if you're looking for a lightly hydrating eye cream with good anti-aging ingredients. If the skin around your eyes is very dry, you'll probably need to use something heavier on top, or use this cream in the morning and lather a more nourishing eye treatment at night.
