Time won't go backwards, I know that, but when a skincare brand promises "Age Reverse" I can't help but try their products. You see, I felt like aging wasn't as bad as everybody makes it to be until I turned 35. And then everything started to go downhill at once: lines, spots, lack of firmness hit me all at the same time. So if a skincare product can help me slow down the clock, if not reverse it, I'm all for it! That's exactly what Exuviance Age Reverse HydraFirm promises to do. Did it really work for me? Keep reading to find out!

Exuviance Age Reverse HydraFirm claims to address all visible signs of aging, and focuses on the five main concerns of mature skin: uneven texture, fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and loss of firmness. The ingredients supposed to achieve younger looking skin are maltobionic acid, neoglucosamine, peptides and antioxidants.

On top of that, HydraFirm also promises to deeply hydrate skin for a more youthful, plump look. For that purpose it contains hyaluronic acid and a complex called Prodew which, based on my quick research, is a cocktail of amino acids.

Exuviance is a reliable brand that formulates solid science-based products, and I think with HydraFirm they have created a great moisturizer with lots of potent anti-aging ingredients. I really like when my skincare products don't contain just one or two, but a whole laundry list of antioxidants and skin restoring elements. Here's the full ingredients list for this product:
Aqua (Water), Glycerin, Acetyl Glucosamine, Maltobionic Acid, Octyldodecyl Neopentanoate, Steareth-2, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Octyldodecanol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Silica, Isostearic Acid, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate/VP Copolymer, Cyclopentasiloxane, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) Acetate, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Serine, Glycine, Glutamic Acid, Alanine, Lysine, Arginine, Threonine, Proline, Saccharide Isomerate, Sodium PCA, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sorbitol, Cyclohexasiloxane, Propylene Glycol, Betaine, Cetyl Alcohol, Steareth-20, Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Caprylyl Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Ammonium Hydroxide, Butylene Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Sodium Bisulfite, Parfum (Fragrance), CI 42090 (Blue 1), CI 19140 (Yellow 5).

Age Reverse HydraFirm comes in a functional but elegant turquoise bottle with an airless pump. One pump is actually a lot, because Exuviance wasn't joking about the hydrating effect! Although the texture feels like a cream-gel, it packs a ton of moisture and feels rich and nourishing on the skin - shea butter is rather high on the ingredient's list.

I would recommend it to people with normal to dry skin, and if your skin is more normal you might prefer it as a night cream since it's on the heavier side. I feel like it's coating my skin in a cushion of moisture, a bit like a "sleeping mask", so that's how I use it. I tried applying it in the morning once but it was just too rich for me and caused my makeup to pill. If you have very dry skin it might be a life saver for you!

When I use it at night my skin loves the cocoon effect that this protective layer provides, and I wake up with luminous, smooth skin. My dehydration and expression lines are definitely softer in the morning and my skin looks plump and dewy. I haven't yet noticed a visible difference wrinkles, age spots and firmness but those issues take time to improve, but I'm confident that the impressive formula of Age Reverse HydraFirm is good for my skin in the long run.

OVERALL

Exuviance Age Reverse HydraFirm is a rich moisturizer packed with effective anti-aging substances to repair skin damage. Dry skins will love the deep hydration and normal skins will benefit from the long list of restorative ingredients to address signs of aging.
