I hope you all had fantastic holidays and a great New Year's Eve party to celebrate the end of 2017 and the birth of a new year. 2017 was a difficult year for many of us who felt like the future was looking more and more grim, and I wish our 2018 to be filled with hope, joy and genuine love.
With age come fine lines but also a better understanding of what works for you and what doesn't. I can tell you from experience that new year's resolutions are a waste of time and mental energy for me! I have no idea what my life will look like 6 months from now, so setting precise goals is pointless. By February my resolutions are often irrelevant and by March I've forgotten all about them.
So this year I will skip the traditional resolutions, and I will set intentions instead. Intentions are broad, they define areas that I want to improve in my life, but they leave the door open to change. They also don't dictate how I should reach my general goals, rather they are here to show me the right direction.
HERE ARE MY INTENTIONS FOR 2018:
- Work on self-confidence
- Focus more on a career path
- Let go of expectations in my daily life so I can fully enjoy the moment
- Have fun, every day, and share the fun with other people
- Continue my fitness journey
- Cultivate friendships
- Explore: new places, new activities, new ways to approach life
