It's no secret that I have been struggling with acne for the past 18 months. The breakouts came out of nowhere and I've had more blemishes after 35 than ever before in my life. Sigh. To keep acne under control I've tried using a lot of different skincare products, including purifying cleansers, but I generally find them too drying. Plus, besides the zits, I also have to deal with aging skin that's slowly loosing elasticity and showing more fine lines.

So when Exuviance, a great brand I know and trust, offered me to try their Purifying Cleansing Gel with AHA and PHA, I jumped on the occasion to test a high-quality face cleanser that could help with both breakouts and aging. The AHA glycolic acid and the PHA gluconolactone exfoliate to improve skin texture and also stimulate cell renewal, helping skin look younger longer.

Review: Exuviance Purifying Cleansing Gel combines deep cleansing and anti-aging

The Purifying Cleansing Gel is a fluid gel with a slight green tint. The frosty aqua tube and light fresh scent kind of turn my face washing routine into a marine spa experience! Dr C, Beaumiroir's in-house scientist, actually likes to use it for that reason, he finds it very refreshing.

The gel needs a bit of massaging to produce lather on the skin, and I love to use it with my Clarisonic. It feels thick and cushy enough to make the brush cleansing more comfortable. It takes a bit of time to rinse off completely, but afterwards my skin feels perfectly clean. It doesn't dry my combination skin out at all, my face feels soft and comfortable and looks clear and radiant.

Overall

I think Exuviance Purifying Cleansing Gel is a great choice for anyone looking for a deep cleanse without irritation or dryness. If you'd like a purifying cleanser that also has anti-aging benefits, I'd recommend trying it!
