I don't do haul posts very often (in fact I don't think I've done one in a couple years), but I couldn't resist showing you my new makeup purchases. I picked summery shades in anticipation for the beach season, and to summon the sun as we're having a bad case of May Gray here in San Diego (something the tourism info center doesn't boast about!). I'm crossing all fingers, toes and doing a yoga eagle pose in hope that it won't be followed by the dreaded June Gloom, cause I'm over clouds, like, for real. You'll notice the absence of sunlight in the pictures...
Anyways, I bought 2 new Lancôme products from Macy's and received a nice gift with purchase consisting of a large pink tote (glad it wasn't another pouch or small makeup bag, I probably have 2 dozens of those collecting dust), a deluxe sample of Rénergie Lift night cream, a mini eye khol and Définicils mascara, a Juicy Tube and a mini palette with beautiful shimmery shades. Unfortunately it looks like this GWP is gone, Macy's now has a purchase with purchase offer.

I bought the new Blush Subtil Crème in Coral Alizée from Lancôme's summer 2015 French Paradise collection ($24), a stunning reddish coral, and another shade of Shine Lover, Corail Lover, because I am still ecstatic about the first shade I tried ($25). This is a bold coral red, a bit brighter than the cream blush, but definitely from the same family.

I also ordered Burberry Lip & Cheek Bloom in Hydrangea from Nordstrom ($28). I spent a long time choosing the color, and I'm not sure this one was the best for me. It also swatches very patchy which is worrisome. I'll test it within the next few days but I really hope it performs better on the cheek than on my arm...

Wow Lulle, what a good looking haul :) That Lancome blush looks stunning, so does the GWP palette, I have one of Burberry's powder blushes and the pigmentation is insane, I'd be interested in finding out how this formula performs :)
ReplyDeleteI tried it on my cheeks this afternoon and it performed better than it swatched. This is definitely not going to be my HG cream blush formula though...
DeleteSo many nice products. I´d be interested in hearing your thoughts on the Burberry one.

I'll definitely review it after a few more uses. Not really sold for now, although it worked better on the cheeks that the arm swatch would indicate.
DeleteOh I see Hydrangea... So sorry to hear it's not working that well for you, either :(
ReplyDeleteThat LANCOME one looks promising tho!!! It's not that I need or should buy more cream blushes, but I might have to swatch this one!
I wasn't originally planning to buy the Lancome blush, but I swatched it at a counter out of curiosity and just fell in love with the color. True red corals are not that easy to come by, pink corals are a lot more common. It also feels super soft and it's pretty pigmented. I haven't tried it on yet, but I'm really excited!
