CoverGirl Outlast Glosstinis mini nail polish in Bahama Mama: I'd rather have a Bellini!

CoverGirl just launched the Glosstinis, a miniature version of the Outlast nail polish, as part of their large summer 2013 collection. The tiny square bottles with their fruity summery shades looked pretty appealing, and I chose to buy Bahama Mama at the drugstore.

It reminds me a lot of a Chanel polish I used to own a few years ago, called Miami Peach. While Bahama Mama is a touch lighter and warmer, they look quite similar: a peachy shade with a dense silver shimmer. CoverGirl's version also has larger shimmer particles and looks a tad sheerer.

Unfortunately it also shares the same flaws that made me get rid of Chanel Miami Peach... It's on the thicker side, sheer, streaky, uneven and hard to build to perfect coverage. I used it for a pedi, and I really had a hard time applying it. It looks better on my fingernails, but you can still see the nail through, and that's with 3 rather thick layers.

Overall: If I were I'd pass on this nail polish. You can find pretty peach summery shades with a better formula out there!
