Not only are they super cheap, they're also about 1/4 to 1/3 longer than your regular eye pencil... can I say wow? They seem to be a little thinner too, since they're just a little heavier than, say, Milani Liquif'eye (1.4g vs 1.2g), but that's fine with me, since I prefer thin lines around my eyes.

Another amazing bonus for the price is that they double as brown pencils. I wouldn't advise you to use the Turquoise shade for that purpose, of course, but the Taupe, Dark Brown and Charcoal can really be efficiently used to define your brows. Less than a dollar, longer and versatile... why didn't I discover these pencils earlier again??

They feel very soft on my sensitive eyelid, and they draw a clean, intense line without any effort. Taupe and Turquoise are the least pigmented shades in my stash, but they're still fine, really. Better than UD 24/7 eyeliner pencil in Ransom for example!
Olive and Turquoise are shimmery, while the other shades I own have a cream finish. I've used these cream ones on my waterline without any adverse reaction, although I have very allergic eyes and wear contacts. I actually love to wear Charcoal on my waterline, it brings definition to the eye without being as dark as black, and it's really great for a softer look, on a work day or when you don't want an intense look.

These eye pencils are also easy to blend if you want to use them as a base, or just create a quick look by smudging them around your lash line. I do that a lot when I don't have much time to create a sophisticated look, and I use a pencil brush (like MAC 219) or firm blending brush.

Their wear time is the only aspect that might not be quite as good as some department store pencils: while some MAC or MUFE pencils are set forever once dry, these Wet n Wild might fade a little bit by the end of the day. I have never experienced serious smudging or transfer under the eyes, but they don't look quite as fresh and crisp by the end of the afternoon. For me, this is a minor issue and not a deal-breaker, and I've experienced much worse fading with more expensive brands.
Overall, these pencils are an incredible deal! If you're looking for an easy-to-use, versatile eye pencil, and you only have a few coins in your pocket, go for it! It even comes in unusual shades like sky blue or cool green.

DeleteWish I discovered these eyeliners sooner too! I just got this in Dark Blue few days ago from a swapper who was kind enough to throw in this as an extra. My how I can't thank her enough. The colour is just nice with decent staying-power, as least for my super oily lids.
